Cookies and similar technologies are small data files placed on your device when you visit a website. We use browser storage (localStorage and sessionStorage) rather than traditional HTTP cookies to provide core functionality.
Session Storage — We store a unique session identifier in your browser's sessionStorage. This is used to associate your interactions during a single visit and is automatically deleted when you close the browser tab.
Local Storage — We store your language preference (English or Romanian) in localStorage so your choice is remembered on future visits. This persists until you clear your browser's stored data.
We collect anonymous usage data including device type, language, pages visited, and time spent on each page. This data is sent to our internal analytics service and is used solely to improve the website. No personally identifiable information is included in analytics events.
On your first visit, we send a request to ipapi.co to detect your approximate location for language auto-selection. This involves processing your IP address by ipapi.co. We do not store any geolocation data ourselves.
You can clear localStorage and sessionStorage at any time through your browser's developer tools or privacy settings. Clearing localStorage will reset your saved language preference; the site will re-detect your language on the next visit.
If you have questions about our use of storage technologies, contact us at office@ir-digitalmedia.com.
